How to Claim National Lottery Prizes

Follow this guide to learn how to claim National Lottery prizes. The process for collecting your winnings varies depending on whether you purchased your ticket online or from an authorised retailer. For popular National Lottery games such as EuroMillions, Lotto, Thunderball, Set for Life and HotPicks, follow these steps to claim your prize based on the method of play and the amount won.

Played Online (Non-Direct Debit)

• Up to £500: Winnings are automatically paid into your National Lottery account after the draw.
• £501 – £30,000: You must confirm the payment before 11.00 pm on the last day of the claim period. The prize will then be transferred to the debit card registered to your account.
• £30,001 – £49,999: Contact the Customer Care team at 0333 234 44 33 to claim your prize. Payment will be issued by cheque, bank transfer, or direct credit, and you may be required to claim in person at a Regional Centre.
• £50,000 and over: Claims must be processed in person. Call 0333 234 44 33 to arrange the claim. Payments can be made by cheque, bank transfer, or direct credit at your home or another agreed location in the UK or Isle of Man, or at a Regional Centre. You will need to complete a Prize Claim Form and provide proof of entitlement.

Played Online (Direct Debit)

• Up to £30,000: Winnings are directly deposited into the bank account associated with your Direct Debit.
• Over £30,000: Call 0333 234 44 33 to arrange an in-person claim.

Played at a Retailer

• Up to £100: Prizes can be claimed at any retailer, with the discretion to pay up to £500. Designated Post Offices can also redeem prizes up to £500.
• £501 – £30,000: Prizes can be claimed at designated Post Offices, online, at a regional National Lottery centre, or by post. Identification may be required.
• £30,001 and over: Call 0333 234 50 50 to arrange an in-person claim.

Remember that you must claim your National Lottery prizes within 180 days of the draw date, or the winnings will be forfeited and donated to good causes.
